The contrasting poses of the two, including Noir's bewildered expression and Blanc's bright smile, are recreated with impressive sculpting and richly textured paintwork. The
nuances of the original illustration, with its striking diagonal angle creating a sense of dynamism, are also a highlight, as they are skillfully constructed with the tilt of the sculpted base and pole.
